Chamber News

Message from our President

All Members: We hope that you have all enjoyed a productive summer. It was certainly an entertaining year of excitement and survival for Small Business across Alberta.
Some of our business owners were unable to hold out and that is a reflection on all of us who cared. The Diamond Valley Chamber of Commerce
is here to support everyone that becomes a member and when one of our members ends up closing their doors each of us needs to look around
and think about what we could have done to support that person in their timme of need. My sole purpose as your President was to encourage,
motivate and support our membership on every level. When a new business comes into our towns or membership, we need to be the first ones at their door
offering them a welcome mat. We need to make them aware of what we can and will do to help support their needs and their business.
Everyone needs to understand that the Diamond Valley Chamber of Commerce is a symbol of fellowhip and supportive action.
Our meetings must offer ideas, motivation, and open and honest support to every member on a daily basis... not just once a month.
Our members need to believe that we are more than just another chamber, we are driven by your success.
We are not in place to be looked at as a pending lead source for every new sales concept or fundraiser.
We are here to help, support and motivate the businesses and their owners. Their incomes, growth and longevity depend on all of us,
and our meetings can make a difference when we all come out and willingly offer our support in an open and "positive" format of hope.
We must provide every opportunity we can to make sure that all our small businesses succeed. When one business fails
to achieve a positive outcome, we all fail. We can and have achieved what others only talked about. Let's make a difference and use all our skills to make the
balance of this year one of our most successful years ever. As the year draws to a close focus your attention on 2010 because this
will be a huge year of increased sales and productivitiy for all of us. Stay focused on "your" goals and the rest will take care of itself.
Sincerely,

Randal Williamson
President
Diamond Valley Chamber Of Commerce
